In August, Belarus set a new record: more than 6,500 Belgee and Geely vehicles were sold on the domestic market. Sales jumped by approximately 16% over the month.

Demand for domestically produced cars has been growing since the beginning of the year. The surge came in July, when sales rose by almost 30%. The growth continued in August — another 16% compared to the previous month.

Once again, the Belgee X50+ crossover took the lead, with more than 1,750 transactions in Belarus in August. Since the model launched at the end of April, more than 5,100 vehicles have already been sold.

The Belgee S50 sedan also set an August record — more than 1,300 cars sold on the domestic market alone.

For the first time, Belgee sold more than 2,150 electric vehicles and hybrids in the country in a single month. In August, more than 1,100 Geely EX2 units were purchased.

— Belarus is now setting new car sales records — nothing of this scale has been seen before. Demand is growing across the entire Belarusian market, but first and foremost for domestically produced models. Gasoline sedans and crossovers remain traditionally popular, but interest in electric vehicles has also strengthened. Consumers want innovative, comfortable, and at the same time affordable cars, — noted Belgee CJSC.

The plant attributes the record sales volumes to the expansion of its model lineup, a flexible pricing policy, and accessible financing programs. From September 1, preferential loans at rates starting from 0.01% per annum for up to 10 years became available on Belgee vehicles. Credit conditions have also improved for the Geely EX2: the electric car can now be purchased on credit at 0.01% per annum with a down payment starting from 10% for a term of up to 10 years.

The factory, located near Borisov, is preparing to expand and deepen production. A stamping shop with an area of more than 5,000 square meters is being built there. It will produce large exterior body parts, including front and rear doors, side panels, fenders, trunk lids, hoods, roofs, and other components.
