Belarusians will be able to order firewood online starting from October 1st. This was reported by Minister of Forestry Sergey Uldinovich on air at the "First Information Channel."

"This year, over 3.1 million cubic meters of firewood have already been sold domestically. We are seeing growth to last year's level by more than 200,000 cubic meters. People are actively preparing for the heating season. I believe this is not the limit, there will still be significant consumption," said Sergey Uldinovich.

He noted that there are currently no problems with acquiring firewood. "We are doing everything to make it easier for people to do so. Starting from October 1st, firewood can be ordered online. There is no need to go to the forest office. Any citizen, whether at home, at work, or anywhere, can visit the website and submit an online application. In order to monitor timeliness and completion of applications, journals are being created, including overdue applications, — this will be monitored more closely using technical capabilities. Additionally, we have noticed recently that demand for sawn firewood is increasing. Therefore, our goal is to increase the production volume of this product. If needed, we will purchase equipment, install it, to meet demand," added the Minister of Forestry.
