Belarusian banks continued to support the economy primarily in the national currency in July. This was reported by BelTA in the press service of the National Bank.
The annual growth of indebtedness on loans extended to legal entities and individuals amounted to 14.3% by the end of July, and in Belarusian rubles — 17.8%.
Ruble-denominated lending to enterprises grew more actively than lending to the population. The annual growth of indebtedness on loans extended to legal entities in Belarusian rubles amounted to 19% by the end of July, and to individuals — 16.2%.
Long-term ruble loans to enterprises grew the fastest. Their indebtedness increased by 31.1% over the year, while for short-term loans — by 4.7%.
