Belarusbank reminds: by November 12, charitable accounts for medical aid must be brought into compliance with the new requirements.

The procedure for using charitable accounts for medical aid has changed. Physical persons who opened such accounts by September 12, 2026, to collect funds for medical aid, including for purchasing medicines, therapeutic nutrition, medical devices and equipment, must by November 12 of the current year complete the actions provided for in Presidential Decree No. 304 "On Funds and Charitable Activities in the Healthcare Sector" of the President. Their list depends on the conditions of the account opening.

Belarusbank emphasizes that account holders should go to the branch where the account was opened to submit documents and bring them into compliance with the Decree's requirements.

In accordance with this Decree, physical persons may open charitable accounts for collecting funds for medical aid exclusively for:

• themselves personally due to need for medical aid;
• spouse(s), close relatives (parents, adoptive parents, children, including adopted children, close brothers and sisters, grandparents, grandmothers, grandchildren);
• minors or adults who are under the guardianship or custodianship of the account holder.

If the existing account does not comply with these conditions, the client is required to transfer all funds on it to charitable accounts opened in strict compliance with the Decree.

If the account is opened in favor of persons listed above, the account holder is required to provide the bank with a package of documents
