On September 30, 2026, in Minsk, Finance Minister Vladislav Tatarinovich told journalists about the changes in the tax system that will come into effect in 2027. The basic measure of tax policy is the indexation of tax rates and individual elements set in fixed amounts in Belarusian rubles. Additionally, the procedure for calculating and paying certain taxes is being clarified point‑by‑point to make the mechanism clear, understandable, and transparent.

This was reported by the Ministry of Finance, with the information disseminated by BELTA.

According to the minister, the basic measure of tax policy is the indexation of tax rates and individual elements of taxation that are set in fixed amounts in Belarusian rubles.

This takes into account the growth rate of the consumer price index, nominal accrued wages, and the cost of construction and installation works.

In the tax system, taking into account application practice, the procedure for calculating and paying individual taxes is being clarified point‑by‑point. The aim is to make the mechanism clear, understandable, and transparent.

In particular, the procedure for confirming the zero VAT rate for the provision of export transport services will be significantly simplified.

As the minister explained, this approach will be linked to accounting. There will be no need to wait for confirmation from the buyer that they have received the exported goods; the information will be reflected in accounting.

Regarding personal income tax, to make it more convenient for both taxpayers and tax authorities, a proposal has been made to shift the deadline for filing the annual tax return by one month — to April 30. Currently the deadline is March 31. The deadline for paying the tax itself will also be moved — to August 1.

The minister added that measures are being taken to simplify tax administration procedures, which are increasingly being moved to a digital format.

For the coming year, tax policy measures do not envisage radical changes. Stability of the tax system is an important factor for the stable functioning of the economy and its further development, the minister emphasized.
