The parties presented the tourism opportunities of both countries and discussed concrete steps for mutual promotion of tourism destinations. Special attention was given to attracting tourism groups from mainland China who reside in Myanmar and are interested in traveling to our country.

The Myanmar delegation noted Belarus's appeal to tourists from Myanmar as an original and distinctive country.

The development of tourism exchange and the expansion of direct contacts between Belarus and Myanmar are facilitated by the mutual visa‑free regime that came into force in July of this year, and by the launch of a direct flight on the Minsk–Bangkok route by the airline Belavia, which opens new possibilities for building tourism logistics in both directions.

The delegation, which includes representatives of Myanmar's Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, the Myanmar Hotel Association, and tour operators, is visiting Belarus on an introductory tour. It was organized by the National Tourism Agency with the support of the Embassy of Belarus in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The guests have already visited the Mir and Nesvizh castles, the Minsk Tractor Plant, the city's hotel infrastructure, and the Bolshoi Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

During the visit to the MTZ, the guests were impressed by the scale of production, the plant's capabilities, and the quality of Belarusian tractors.
