Ministry of Labor of Belarus Has Named 47 Professions Where Hiring Foreigners Will Be Simplified

In Belarus, a list of professions and positions was determined on which foreign citizens and stateless persons may be recruited in 2027 without taking into account restrictions related to protecting the national labor market. This decision is codified in Decree No. 80 of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection dated October 1, 2026, officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal.

The document provides a simplified procedure for employment for 31 working professions and 16 service positions. The new rules will come into effect from January 1, 2027.

Worker Professions

For ease of perception, accessible working specialties have been grouped by key areas of activity:

Construction and housing-communal economy:

• Concrete mason
• Stone mason
• Painter
• Carpenter
• Plasterer
• Plumbing-mechanic
• Worker for comprehensive maintenance and repair of buildings and structures

Transport, logistics and auto-service:

• Car driver
• Loader driver
• Auto repair mechanic

Agriculture:

• Livestock farmer
• Vegetable farmer
• Machine milking operator
• Poultry factory and mechanized farms operator
• Tractor driver
• Tractor-machinist of agricultural production

Industry and production:

• Fitter
• Milling machine operator
• Repair fitter
• Mechanical assembly fitter
• Gas-welding welder
• Shearer (all names)
• Material cutter
• Operator of centrifugal equipment
• Centrifugal press operator
• Leather stretcher
• Electrician for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment

Service sphere, trade and healthcare:

• Cook
• Salesperson
• Sanitary (female)

Positions of Servants

In the category of servants, in demand on the Belarusian labor market without additional restrictions, specialists from the following fields were included:

Medicine and healthcare:

• Doctor specialist (all titles and profiles)
• Nurse and medical brother (all titles)
• Assistant doctor for ambulatory-polyclinic care

Engineering-technical sphere and IT:

• Engineer
• Design engineer
