According to a resolution of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection dated August 12, 2026, No. 62, the new edition of the 9th Unified Tariff‑Qualification Directory of Workers and Professions of Workers (ETKS) has been approved, reports gp.by citing the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
The document includes sections on the operation and repair of power plant and network equipment, energy consumer service, and work at nuclear power plants.
The update of the directory is linked to industry development: it incorporates automation of processes, the introduction of modern technologies and new equipment. Specialists also aligned terminology with current legislation and local acts, taking into account proposals from the Ministry of Energy.
In the updated edition, tariff‑qualification characteristics of several professions have been revised considering equipment complexity: the technician, the machine operator of the electrical maintenance crew, and the operator.
The regulatory base for professions related to accident elimination has been separately worked out: the concepts of “accident” and “incident” have been defined in accordance with the legislation on industrial safety.
Organizations of all forms of ownership must reconcile their staffing schedules with the updated ETKS: check the list of works by profession, established grades, and employee knowledge requirements. If necessary, adjustments must be made to work instructions and other local acts.
The resolution comes into force on November 28, 2026.
