Belarus signed contracts for the supply of dairy products to Azerbaijan during negotiations of the Belarusian delegation with representatives of Azerbaijani business circles at the venue of the Embassy of Belarus in Baku. This was reported by BELTA in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus — Director of the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision Ivan Smilgin. As a result of the meeting, a number of specific agreements were reached, including the signing of contracts for the supply of dairy products to Azerbaijan. The parties intend to continue work on expanding the product range and increasing the presence of Belarusian brands in Azerbaijani retail networks.
The event was attended by 11 Belarusian processing enterprises. The Azerbaijani side was represented by 16 companies, including the "Belarusian" retail store chain, the country's largest retail chains, producers of dairy and confectionery products, as well as wholesale suppliers for the hotel segment. Belarusian exporters presented their products in the format of an exhibition-tasting, which allowed Azerbaijani partners to assess the quality and taste characteristics of the goods. During separate B2B negotiations, the parties discussed logistics, pricing terms, and supply volumes.
