In the High Technologies Park, the first two residents in Belarus have been registered with the status of crypto banks. The decision was made today at a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the HTP chaired by Prime Minister Alexander Turčin.

This became possible after the July decree on the activities of crypto banks came into force. Over the past six months, the necessary regulatory acts of the government, the National Bank, and the HTP have been adopted to launch this new direction.

At present, the discussion concerns specifically registration in the HTP. The next step will be to include the organizations in the National Bank's register of crypto banks.

The organizations that have obtained the status of the first crypto banks are not yet named. Dmitry Kalechits, First Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board of the HTP, said only that they are well-known players in the crypto market with practical experience in this field.
