Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Igor Dorofeychik held a working meeting with the Deputy Head of the Mission of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation Hartо Hartkomoyo. The sides aligned their positions on key areas of interaction and outlined business points for further partnership.
The basis of Belarusian supplies consists of dairy products – whole milk powder and skimmed milk powder, milk whey. On the Indonesian market, 17 Belarusian dairy processing enterprises have already been accredited, 13 of which underwent on‑site inspection by the Indonesian side at the beginning of this year and confirmed the high quality of the produced goods.
The meeting also addressed the issue of accelerated accreditation of new Belarusian suppliers – the Indonesian side confirmed its readiness to assist in this process. They also discussed meat product exports: Belarus can supply beef to Indonesia that fully complies with the importing country’s veterinary requirements.
A separate area of cooperation is the exchange of competencies. The Belarusian side expressed readiness to assist Indonesia in the reclamation of rice fields – the relevant documents have already been prepared and are under consideration by Indonesian specialists.
Summing up the negotiations, Igor Dorofeychik noted: “Belarus is open to expanding the range of supplies and is ready to share its own practical experience in reclamation.”
Hartо Hartkomoyo, in turn, emphasized: “The agro‑industrial complex is a priority area for Indonesia. We aim to raise cooperation to a qualitatively new level, relying on the proven quality of Belarusian products.”
As the next step, the sides agreed to expand the regular exchange of business contacts to increase mutual trade turnover.
