By the end of the year, three new panel apartment buildings are planned to be put into operation in the new quarter of the Severny‑2 residential area in Baranovichi.

The new residential area, built on the site of the former village of Anisimovichi and its surroundings, began developing in Baranovichi five years ago. Now, on this plot, between the Ice Palace and the “Korona” hypermarket, 16 residential buildings rise.

According to Alexander Kozeka, deputy chairman of the Baranovichi City Executive Committee, the residential area continues to develop, and this year construction of a new quarter consisting of 12 residential high‑rises has begun. Three new buildings are planned to be handed over this year. In one of them, finishing work is already underway, while the other two are still under construction. Engineering and transport infrastructure is also being built; pedestrian paths and bike lanes are being laid out, modern children’s playgrounds will appear, and landscaping and beautification work has been carried out.

In three years, when construction of this quarter is completed, the builders will move on to the next quarter, where 12 residential houses are also planned, as well as a commercial facility. The houses will have varying heights; some apartments will be designated for those in need of improved housing conditions, and there will also be rental, social, and co‑ownership housing.

In the future, public transport routes will also pass through here, so the residential area is immediately equipped with bus stops.
