The average accrued salary in Belarus before tax deductions in August amounted to 3135.9 rubles. Over the month it decreased by 36.1 rubles. Such data were published by Belstat.

In Minsk, the average salary in August amounted to 4032.7 rubles, decreasing over the month by 83.6 rubles.

In Minsk Region, conversely, salaries increased by 38.5 rubles — up to 3274.1 rubles. In the remaining regions, the average salary for the month decreased:

• in Brest Region — by 65.4 rubles, down to 2800.5 rubles,
• in Grodno Region — by 37.5 rubles, down to 2821.6 rubles,
• in Gomel Region — by 23.8 rubles, down to 2773.6 rubles,
• in Vitebsk Region — by 29.3 rubles, down to 2668.5 rubles,
• and in Mogilev Region — by 29 rubles, down to 2655.8 rubles.

In August, the top spot in the salary ranking was held by workers in passenger air transport — on average they earned 8653 rubles (1774.5 rubles less than in July). In second place were IT specialists with 7894.5 rubles, and in third place were employees of auxiliary activities in the financial services and insurance sector with 7821.1 rubles.

The lowest salaries in August were in the culture sector — 1851.8 rubles, in hairdressers and beauty salons — 1863.7 rubles, as well as in the care and social services sector — 1991.9 rubles.
