In light of the cooling weather, the State Automotive Inspectorate recommends that drivers already change their summer tires to winter tires and check the technical readiness of their vehicles for operation during the transitional season.

Drivers:

• reduce your speed;
• increase your following distance;
• avoid sharp maneuvers, acceleration and braking;
• on bridges, curves, drafty sections, steep descents and before pedestrian crossings — maximum concentration and caution!

Safety belt use is mandatory for everyone in the cabin, and children must be transported exclusively in special restraint devices.

Pedestrians should remember that braking distance increases significantly on slippery surfaces:

• step onto the crossing only after confirming that approaching traffic can stop;
• in darkness, twilight, fog and during precipitation, always use flashlights;
• before the crossing, remove your hood and headphones, look to the sides rather than at your phone.

Owners of electric scooters and cyclists: The season for summer mobility is coming to an end. During the period of ice and snow, drivers should completely refrain from trips on electric scooters, monowheels and bicycles.
