  • A new chapter in the history of domestic customs began under difficult conditions of an epochal transition, at the same time as our country gained independence. Over three and a half decades, almost from scratch, a reliable system has been created that our state rightfully takes pride in today. Having gone through an impressive modernization journey, Belarusian customs has become a high‑technology tool for protecting the country's economic interests and combating cross‑border crime.

The Belarusian leader noted that the stable filling of the republican budget and favorable conditions for foreign‑economic activity are ensured by the professionalism, principledness, and loyalty to duty of customs staff, as well as by the continual improvement of control and the effective implementation of digital technologies.

The head of state especially thanked the veterans – it was they who created the solid foundation of the current customs service and passed on established professional traditions to the younger generation.

  • I am confident that, drawing on rich experience, Belarusian customs staff will continue to solve the tasks set at the highest level.

The president expressed his wishes to the personnel and veterans of the customs service – he wished them health, prosperity, good, peace, as well as success and new achievements for the prosperity of Belarus.
