Work at the production facilities of the former alcohol distillery began in 2019. The enterprise joined the "One District – One Project" program, the "Homiel Region Officially" telegram channel reports.

The main activity is the processing of large-diameter timber from coniferous species with a diameter of 26 cm or more.

"The enterprise has not reached the previously set target indicators, which means that management needs to conduct a detailed analysis of the causes and take measures to reach the required capacity," noted Yuri Valevaty. "The new facility is about creating new jobs, generating tax receipts for the budget, and developing the export-oriented economy of the region."

The director of the woodworking plant, Nikolai Vashkevich, commented on options for attracting additional financing in order to fully launch production and achieve the set goal in the shortest possible time, which is the processing and sale of approximately half a million cubic meters of timber.
