Lelchitsky District was visited on a working trip by the Assistant to the President, Inspector for the Gomel Region, Yuri Valevaty. The trip was accompanied by the Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Sergei Dylyuk, and the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Head of the Agriculture and Food Department, Ekaterina Kozik. The visit program included a tour of agricultural enterprises, a border post, and a branch of the "Hlushkevich" gravel plant, the district newspaper "Svetae Zhycce" reports.

One of the first stops on the route was the "Novaya Niva" Open Joint-Stock Company, where the guests visited the "Dubrova" dairy farm. The delegation also visited the agricultural enterprise "Put Ilyicha." At the sites, Yuri Valevaty met with the heads of agricultural organizations, Vasily Nozdryon and Ivan Shishkanov, as well as with specialists. He showed a detailed interest in the organization of production and current results. In particular, discussions covered milk yields, the process of cow insemination, and issues of livestock feeding. The Assistant to the President familiarized himself with the feeding ration and the productivity of cattle, assessed production volumes and the conditions for keeping the herd. During the dialogue, Yuri Nikolaevich shared recommendations for the further development of the farms and noted that the enterprises have potential for increasing milk yields. The conversation also touched upon reserves for improving the efficiency of animal husbandry. The leaders and specialists spoke about the approaches used and the tasks facing their teams.

The next point of the visit was the "Hlushkevich" border post, named after Ankudinov. The guests were met by the deputy commander of the Mozyr Border Detachment, Maxim Kaputsky. He gave a tour of the facility and spoke about the main directions of the border guards' service. Yuri Valevaty learned about the conditions of service at the post. The tour program included sports and training grounds, a canine zone, a technical park, and service premises. Maxim Gennadievich showed the guests the infrastructure necessary for preparing the personnel. The delegation also visited the indoor areas, where the guests assessed the living conditions for service and the organization of leisure time for the military. The inspection of the post allowed them to become familiar with the daily life of the border guards. Yuri Valevaty emphasized that the necessary conditions have been created for the defenders of the border to carry out their assigned tasks.

— All conditions have been created for servicemen to guard the state border of the Republic of Belarus at a high level and ensure security on the assigned sector, — Yuri Nikolayevich noted.

Next, the President's assistant visited the deposits of facing stone «Карьер Надежды» and building stone «Глушковичи». They belong to the branch of the crushed stone plant «Глушкевичи» of GSEU «Гомельоблдорстрой». Guests were informed about the progress of work at the deposits and the loading of the enterprise's production capacities. According to the plant's specialists, the stone mined in «Карьер Надежды» has a unique texture and operational properties. It is also easy to process. This quarry is the only deposit in the country where block stone is mined.

The plant's director, Roman Mikhalkov, familiarized the guests with the branch's production and main economic indicators. He spoke about the plant's current activities and its prospects. The enterprise is engaged in the extraction, crushing, and sorting of building stone. It provides non-metallic materials to organizations in the Gomel region and other regions of Belarus. According to Roman Kirillovich, the team strives to work towards product implementation and fulfill specific orders. The plant is also mastering the production of crushed stone of specific fractions. This allows taking into account the requests of different customers. During the meeting, participants discussed the modernization of the crushed stone plant. Special attention was paid to the possibilities of increasing the volumes of granite product sales. They also considered the prospects for developing the branch's production capacities.
