In Belarusian camps this autumn, they plan to improve the health of about 70,000 children. This was announced at a press conference by Gennady Bolbatovsky, director of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
From November 1 to 8, autumn holidays will take place. The Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population, together with the Ministry of Education, will organize recreation for schoolchildren in camps. "It is planned that about 70,000 children will undergo health improvement during the autumn period," said Gennady Bolbatovsky.
According to him, for several years now, the occupancy of facilities in September has been exactly the same as in summer. "This year – at the level of 90%. In the following autumn months, for example in November, we record sales depth at the level of 74%," added the director.
In summer, with increased demand, the average price of a voucher for a sanatorium for a standard double room was 155 rubles per day of stay. In the fourth quarter, they forecast a price reduction due to providing discounts and lower demand – it will amount to about 150 rubles. Predictably, the cost will rise by New Year and settle around 170 rubles during the winter holiday period. Sales are already actively underway.
Gennady Bolbatovsky also noted that in summer the sanatoria operated at maximum occupancy. "We traditionally noted increased demand for the services of sanatorium-and-resort organizations. More than 600,000 people underwent treatment and health improvement in our facilities. Occupancy in the summer period was maximal – over 90%," he added.
