Apple unveiled its first MacBook with a touchscreen in its history. The laptop received an OLED display, Dynamic Island like on the iPhone, and a redesigned look. Also, the company brought back one of the most recognizable details of older models — the glowing Apple logo on the lid.

The innovation is available in two versions — with 14-inch and 16-inch screens. The laptops use the new ProLED XDR display based on tandem OLED technology. For the first time in MacBook history, the screen supports full touch control.

Instead of the familiar camera bump, there is now an interactive Dynamic Island area, familiar to iPhone owners. At the same time, Apple adapted the macOS interface for finger control: system elements now adapt to touch. The familiar keyboard and trackpad have not disappeared.

The chassis itself has also changed. The laptops are thinner and lighter, and the screen hinge has been strengthened so the display doesn't wobble when pressed. The processors Apple M5 Pro and M5 Max handle performance. The claimed battery life reaches 24 hours.

Another notable change is the return of the glowing apple on the MacBook lid. Previously, Apple had abandoned this detail, which for many years was one of the distinguishing features of its laptops.

  • 16-inch with M5 Pro — from $3399;
  • 14-inch with M5 Max — from $4499;
