In Belarus, a new convenient service for homeowners and cottage owners has started operating.

• Starting October 1, the Ministry of Forestry launched an online service for ordering firewood. Already on the first day of operation, the platform demonstrated its popularity among the population – citizens submitted 1,067 applications for a total volume of 8,330 cubic meters of firewood, said Angelina Syromyatnikova, deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

Currently, online forestries sell firewood only in round form, but in the near future the interface will be improved, and residents will also be able to order split firewood, for which demand shows annual growth.

In parallel, the usual ways of purchasing this type of fuel remain in effect – directly at forestries and at the branded trading sites "Lesnoy Domik".

Furthermore, Belarusian forests have begun mass installation of uniform information signs – "Object Passports". Each sign bears a QR code that will relieve citizens of the need to search for forestry contacts and will redirect them to the new digital service.

The main goal of the innovation is to make purchasing firewood as convenient as possible for citizens, eliminating the need to travel to a forestry. A citizen can visit the website from home or work and submit an online application.

An online application can be left on the website of the enterprise "Belgosles" or via the Telegram messenger – through the bot @DROVA_BY_bot. After the application is submitted, a forestry representative will contact the customer to clarify the details.
