An individual entrepreneur imported tulip bulbs into Belarus and grew flowers from them. Over four years, he sold more than 2.2 million tulips abroad, earning 388 thousand rubles.

The man had a plot of land allocated for personal subsidiary farming with benefits and tax preferences — on it, the “dacha owner” engaged in business.

During an inspection of the alleged personal subsidiary farm, tax officials found:

• 13 people who, without official employment, cut and packaged tulips;
• more than 520 thousand tulips prepared for shipment abroad.

The individual entrepreneur was held administratively liable. He must pay a fine of 4.5 thousand rubles, and 5% of the income obtained as a result of illegal activity will be confiscated. The confiscation amount equals 19.4 thousand rubles.
