Republican holiday XXXIII Day of Belarusian WritingOn August 31 in Buinichi, on the premises of OAO "Managing Company of the Holding "Agromashservis," an awarding ceremony was held for crews composed of employees from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD). It should be emphasized that all crews threshed more than 1,000 tons of grain.
The work of the MChS mechanized squads was described by the head of the Mogilev Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel Mikhail Mikolutsky:
"Back last year, the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee approached the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations with a request to assist in the harvest. This year, 64 people were involved in the harvesting campaign throughout the region. In virtually every regional district, a representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations worked on the harvest: as a combine operator, assistant combine operator, driver transporting grain, or operator of grain-drying units. Also, 18 of our employees provided assistance to agricultural workers initially in the southern regions of the oblast: in the Glussky and Osipovichsky districts, and then assistance was provided to two eastern districts – Gorki and Mstislavl."
The contribution of the mechanized squads to the country's food security cannot go unmentioned. In total, this year, the mechanized squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations harvested over 13 thousand tons of grain, which highlights the growth in performance indicators of the MChS crews compared to the previous year.
"This is my first time participating in the harvesting campaign. It's both a bit difficult for me, but also interesting. In my opinion, we fulfilled the task of helping farmers with the harvest," emphasized Denis Serkov, senior driver of the fire emergency rescue unit of the city of Shklov.
"Our working day began with servicing the combine harvester: blowing it out, cleaning, troubleshooting, and then we went out to the field and worked. Combining service and work in the field is not easy; personal motivation and family support helped," said Denis Serkov.
During the current harvesting campaign, mechanized teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations have threshed more than 13 thousand tons of grain, while the results of the mechanized teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs amounted to more than 8 thousand tons of grain. As a result of the overall work of the mechanized teams, more than 20 thousand tons of grain were threshed.
