Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, during a working trip to Minsk district on October 12, familiarized himself with the results of an experiment to increase the fertility of sandy soils and difficult lands on the experimental corn field of the Dzerzhinsky agro-industrial complex, reports sb.by.
Before that, the head of the agro-industrial complex, Vladimir Lukyanov, gave the head of state a detailed report on the enterprise's situation and development prospects, on winter sowing and the construction of various agricultural facilities in the regions. As is known, a number of agro-industrial enterprises in various districts of the country were placed under the management of the successful Dzerzhinsky agro-industrial complex. These included the Slutsk Grain Products Combine, the Slutsk Meat Combine, the Vileyka Feed Mill, the Tolochinsky Elevator-Agro, the Orsha Meat Canning Combine, the Vitebsk Meat Combine, and several other enterprises in the Vitebsk region. Thanks to this, Dzerzhinsky became one of the country's largest agricultural holdings. Alexander Lukashenko was particularly interested in the situation at the Orsha Meat Canning Combine.
Vladimir Lukyanov reported that the enterprise is actively modernizing its capacities, a new workshop has been launched, and they are working on promoting its products on foreign markets. The focus includes, among other things, baby food.
"We expect to double the production volumes of baby food and stewed meat," Vladimir Lukyanov shared his plans.
In this connection, the President paid special attention to the importance of product quality.
"Just watch the quality. Under no circumstances should you reduce the quality. Quality will prevail in the end. People want quality goods, especially food products," Alexander Lukashenko warned Vladimir Lukyanov.
Another prospect for the enterprise in Orsha is the production of animal feed. Design work is currently underway. This area is important primarily from the standpoint of import substitution.
