The Development of Belarus-Kazakhstan Industrial Cooperation Reviewed During Belarus-Kazakh Gold Council Event at "INAPRAM. Belarus" Exhibition

Senior official of BelGPPP Mikhail Myatlikov signed 21 agreements on the development of trade-industrial relations during the review meeting of the Belarus-Kazakh Gold Council at the "INAPRAM. Belarus" exhibition organized by BelTS.

Mikhail Myatlikov, Chairman of BelGPPP, signed 21 agreements on the development of trade-industrial relations. According to the preliminary session of the gold council, 21 agreements were signed. "Trade-economic cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan demonstrates stable dynamic growth. Over the first half of 2026, goods turnover between the two countries has grown almost by 18% compared to the analogous period of 2025. Based on these figures, partners' ties remain strong and companies are willing to undertake joint capital projects," he added.

Myatlikov further stated that Belarusian enterprises regularly participate in exhibitions in Kazakhstan. In December 2025, the Belarusian export was represented at the 27th International Food Processing Exhibition FoodExpo Qazaqstan in Almaty. He also highlighted the "INAPRAM. Belarus" exhibition. "The exhibition became a venue for business meetings and strengthening international connections," he said.

Foreign Trade Ministry official Murat Karimzakov of Kazakhstan noted that the scope of the gold council has expanded to cover key directions — industrial cooperation, agricultural complex, transport, logistics, and information systems. "Every meeting creates new opportunities for realizing joint projects. Right now, it is especially important to develop the transport-logistics sector, as it gives the possibility to reduce costs and optimize company expenses," he added.

Karimzakov also said that Belarus and Kazakhstan already have successful examples of industrial cooperation. In the private sector, Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprise "Gomselma" has been on the Kazakh market for nearly 20 years. Representatives of MZT and MAZ were also presented. With this, both sides see possibilities for deepening cooperation. "We can move from large-scale collection complexes to more advanced technological processes. This will enable us to create finished products for both internal markets and Central and South Asian countries," he concluded.

In the framework of industrial cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan, the heads of state raised the level of localizing transport technologies, shifting from large-scale to specialized agricultural machinery, trucking with direct connections, and paints.

It is also necessary to activate the production of auto plants, cabins, accumulators, electrical and hydraulic systems. The representative of Kazakhstan highlighted the modernization of municipal and passenger car manufacturing, joint projects for collecting passenger transport, trolleybuses, electric buses, and specialized technical equipment for municipal services.

Special attention was paid to the agrarian complex. "Agro-industry – one of the most important sectors, since its development depends on food production. In modern conditions, the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus in this field has strategic significance," Murat Karymskov emphasized.

He also made proposals regarding the External Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan for supporting business cooperation. Among them were visits to manufacturing sites and industrial zones of both Kazakhstan and Belarus, creation of practical business centers, and establishment of an operational consulting center based on chambers that can review investment projects.

The business council concluded the session with the signing of agreements totaling nearly $80 million. These included additional agreements for meat and dairy product export contracts to Kazakhstan for 2027, an agreement to implement a project for producing human-made floor coverings on the Kazakh territory, an agreement on technical cooperation and sample exchange, a memorandum on mutual assistance and cooperation, a trade agreement on exports of Kazakh motor vehicle technology, alcoholic beverages, and a partnership agreement on marketing research cooperation, expansion and realization of goods.
