Artem Kazak, a student at Dubrovo's No. 1 Secondary School named after A.A. Nikandrovaya, has been involved in robotics since first grade. Now a ninth‑grade boy, he already has an impressive portfolio. Behind him are large competitions and serious victories. He told the BELTA correspondent about his achievements in high technology and shared his future plans.

Even in first grade, Artem joined the school's robotics club. At that time he never imagined that he would present his robot in the Celestial Empire. “I have always liked building LEGO sets, and that hobby inspired me to take modeling seriously,” Artem said.

Artem noted that there was fierce competition in Beijing. Teams from 88 countries fought for the title of best. “I flew there for a week, but the actual competition lasted only one day. First, the robots had to pass a check — they had to meet the required size and weight. I almost made it to the playoffs, but I fell short by three rounds. I beat the Mexican robot 3‑0, but lost to the Chinese one 2‑1 and to the Thai robot 2‑1,” the boy clarified.

Now Artem continues to attend the club and plans to tie his future to robotics. The teacher calls the pupil a true fan of his craft. “There aren’t that many kids like that, to be honest. Many boys came to me, and he is one of the most passionate — all his free time is spent on robotics,” added Andrey Arutyunov.
