At the Kozlovichi border checkpoint, Brest customs officers stopped a DAF truck of a Polish carrier. The truck was traveling from France and was carrying cargo, part of which was not declared in the accompanying documents, the customs authorities reported.

The inspection was carried out using an inspection and search complex. Further inspection confirmed that more than 2000 units of goods were illegally imported.

The value of the unreported batch was more than 200,000 rubles, and the amount of customs duties to be paid for it exceeded 50,000 rubles.

An administrative proceeding has been initiated in accordance with Article 15.5 of the Code of Administrative Offences. The sanction of the article provides for a fine up to 30 % of the value of the administrative offence.
