At the festive ceremony, more than 30 employees of the Grodno Regional Customs were awarded for conscientious service, high professionalism, and significant personal contribution to ensuring the country's economic security.

As noted by Konstantin Burak, Presidential Aide – Inspector for the Grodno Region, the formation of customs bodies in our country proceeded hand in hand with its development.

• It was precisely during the years of independence that the appropriate legal framework was established and the main directions of its activity were defined. Today your agency holds leading positions among the key institutions ensuring budget fulfillment and overall economic security, – Konstantin Burak said. – For the Grodno Regional Customs, the anniversary year is also an occasion to draw certain conclusions. Despite the difficult situation, over the first eight months of this year, budget replenishment has been ensured within the established targets.

According to materials from the Grodno Regional Customs, 56 criminal cases have been initiated, about 7,000 administrative offense cases have been registered. Four cases of illegal movement of narcotic substances in large amounts have been detected. More than 230 kilograms of narcotics and psychotropic substances have been seized from illegal turnover.
