In Belarus, a modern digital platform for travelers, “Smart City,” will begin operating in 2027. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization.
The state program “Tourism” sets ambitious goals for creating a modern digital environment for travelers. One of the key tools for their implementation is the “Smart City” platform, whose full-scale launch is planned for early 2027.
“One of its advantages is a single digital window — tourist attractions, an interactive map, events, and services will appear in one space. Users will also have access to smart routes — individual and group trips with photos, audio guides, and other useful information. Tourists will have the opportunity to explore attractions before the trip through virtual tours and 3D exhibitions,” the press service said.
In the future, the platform should cover the entire life cycle of a tourism product — from interest in a destination to the trip itself — and become a national tourism aggregator.
“Thus, ‘digital’ becomes not a separate service, but an environment that unites the traveler, business, and the state,” the press service emphasized.
