Mozyr will become the site for a pilot project: public transport with AI‑based control will appear on city routes, reports BELTA.

Artificial intelligence will perform key operations in controlling the transport: braking and opening doors. In turn, the driver will remain in the cabin, but will act as an onboard engineer – monitoring the system's operation and backing it up when necessary.

The Gomel Regional Executive Committee has outlined the project's main goals: increasing road traffic safety, reducing accident rates, and minimizing the human factor. It is expected that automation will reduce risks to a minimum and make transport operations more predictable – including through stable adherence to the schedule.
