The Dongfeng importer in Belarus has announced the start of sales of the Box 2027 model year electric vehicles. Among the declared features is the anti-corrosion preparation of the vehicle. Is this a dealer's add-on? No, according to the company, this is a factory treatment.

Representatives of the plant visited and inspected the Belarusian car fleet and made the decision that cars sold in Belarus through the dealer network from October 1, 2026, will now be shipped from the factory with additional corrosion protection, including anti-corrosion coating, the importer's representatives told an Onlíner journalist.

We asked for clarification on what this protection entails and received the following description: "For the Dongfeng Box MY2027 for the Belarusian market, a factory anti-corrosion coating is applied, taking into account local climatic and road conditions. The anti-corrosion coating includes a soundproofing layer applied together with a high-tech corrosion inhibitor, which helps protect the body from the effects of moisture and road reagents. During application, the lower parts of the vehicle (bottom, suspension, wheel arches), the engine compartment, and hidden cavities are treated."

Additionally, we were confirmed that the 2027 model year vehicles have galvanized external elements (all except the roof), as well as front and rear mudguards. We recall that early versions of this model could not boast of this feature.

On the Belarusian market, the Dongfeng Box 2027 model year is available with one engine and battery option: the front axle electric motor produces 95 horsepower and 160 Nm, and the 43.89 kWh battery provides a range of up to 430 kilometers according to the CLTC cycle. Four trim levels are offered, priced from 48,800 rubles for the Comfort version to 52,300 for the Premium+ version.
