One of the satellite cities continues its active expansion: in Smolevichi, current construction projects are entering the home stretch while new sites are being prepared, Anatoly Vederchik, Director General of the state production association Minskstroy, told the Minsk-Novosti agency.

Currently, the enterprise's main efforts are focused on completing a large-scale complex of 19 residential buildings. Two of them are expected to be commissioned by the end of this year, and four more will be handed over next year, which will mark the final point in the construction of the entire neighborhood.

At the same time, social and engineering infrastructure is being developed. This year, a new school has already opened in the area, one kindergarten is operating, and a second is being prepared for handover in the near future.

However, the development of the territory will not end there: the developer is already working on further steps for the development of Smolevichi.

— The prospect of building another microdistrict there is being considered, meaning this satellite city will continue to develop, — summarized Anatoly Vederchik.
