On September 11, the joint-stock company “Milk Hills” completed a major investment project – a new cheese production plant was opened there.

At the opening ceremony of the cheese plant, the chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Council of Deputies Anatoly Isachenko, the assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – inspector for the Mogilev region Nadezhda Kotkovets, the chairman of the Goretzsky District Council of Deputies Nikolay Orlenok, the director of JSC “Milk Hills” Alexander Rivkin, and the director of LLC “Dribinskaya SPMK No. 1” Sergey Kokits were present.

The project to create the cheese complex began in 2023 and consisted of several phases, which included the technical modernization of cheese production and the expansion of the product range – semi‑hard cheeses, Dutch and Russian group cheeses, hard cheeses, and cheeses with propionic acid fermentation such as “Maasdam”.

The chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Council of Deputies Anatoly Isachenko offered his congratulations:

— This production is keeping pace with the times, and the enterprise itself is developing in step with the times. Everything you produce is in demand. It is sought not only in the Republic of Belarus but also far beyond its borders. It is pleasant and reassuring that the enterprise is engaged not only in the production or processing of milk, but also actively invests resources in the development of its raw‑material zone. Because it is impossible to produce products without raw materials. And I consider this fundamental. Therefore I thank them for their attention to the development of agriculture, which they provide. It is not only those enterprises that they have taken or hold shares in. It is, in principle, the entire Goretzsky district, and this raw‑material zone. And every producer must first and foremost think about the development of its raw‑material zone.

The director of JSC “Milk Hills”, Alexander Rivkin, emphasized that the total investment cost amounts to 35 million rubles.

— As a result of the project implementation, it is planned to increase cheese production from 2,000 tonnes in 2025 to 7,200 tonnes, with an increase in revenue of 120 million rubles, including an export growth of 40 million dollars, — summarized the director of JSC “Milk Hills”, Alexander Rivkin.

The director also noted that to produce additional products it is necessary to attract additional raw material:

— Today the enterprise processes about 350–360 tonnes of milk per day, but further expansion will be necessary. The maximum capacity, taking into account the introduction of a new raw‑material processing unit and its subsequent expansion to 40 tonnes per day, will be roughly 720 tonnes of milk per day.

In turn, the chairman of the Gortsyk District Executive Committee, Nikolay Orlenok, highlighted the importance of production for the region’s economic well‑being:

— The enterprise develops the raw‑material zone by investing funds directly into its own raw‑material area. This allows for higher yields and larger volumes of milk produced, thereby increasing the enterprise’s revenue and the incomes of our citizens.
