Soviet Village, July 8, 2025, 5:12 PM. The season for trading school goods starts in Belarus on July 15. The task of retail outlets is to present a wide assortment of clothing, footwear, and school supplies. This was announced at a seminar on preparation for the school season by Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Svetlana Korotkevich, reports a BELTA correspondent.

The seminar was attended by representatives of business entities and government bodies.

As Svetlana Korotkevich noted, trade entities have actively joined the work. Tentatively, sets of clothing and footwear for schoolchildren (boys and girls) will cost from Br400 to Br476. “These are maximum figures. The amount will differ by age category: sets for boys in grades 1-4 will cost Br64–Br400, grades 5-9 — Br93–Br441, grades 10-11 — Br125–Br476; for girls in grades 1-4 — Br69–Br325, grades 5-9 — Br71–Br373, grades 10-11 — Br89–Br423,” she said.

Stationery will also be available for selection. Prices have increased slightly.

A large-scale sale of school goods, including school bazaars, will be organized starting from mid-July. Enterprises of the Bellegprom concern and other Belarusian manufacturers will actively join in.

Svetlana Korotkevich separately addressed the sale of domestically produced goods. Their share is planned to be increased. Already more than 100 retail outlets have joined the MART agreement on improving the efficiency of sales of Belarusian goods. The document is posted on the ministry's website. In 2025, the share of sales of domestically produced goods should amount to 63%, including 85% for food products, and 38.1% for the non-food group across the republic as a whole.
