The Gomel Region State Control Committee identified facts of illegal receipt of 1.6 million rubles of regional budget funds allocated for the creation of specialized industrial equipment, gp.by reported to the Belarus State Control Committee.

The project implementation work continued for nearly 2 years, however, during this time the enterprise was unable to create the corresponding technical specification and engineering documentation for the equipment.

Moreover, amounts for the salaries of scientific employees, who did not actually participate in the equipment development, were presented for reimbursement from the budget.

At the suggestion of the State Control Committee, the Ministry of Industry made a decision to return the funds spent by the enterprise on manufacturing the equipment. To date, more than 400 thousand rubles have been returned. The reimbursement of the remaining amounts remains under control.
