Free educational program for silver-age entrepreneurs launched in Belarus

Tribuna Pratsy August 7, 2026 9:45 A free educational program for silver-age entrepreneurs has been launched in Belarus as part of a joint project between the Ministry of Economy and UNDP. This was reported to sb.by by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

The press service reminded:

— Since 2025, the ministry and UNDP have been implementing an initiative to support silver entrepreneurship, creating conditions for training, experience sharing, and the development of business ideas among older people. On August 4, a new stage of this initiative began: applications are being accepted through August 16 for participation in a program that combines training and mentor support in the use of digital tools for business development.

Participation in the program is free. Both active entrepreneurs and proactive Belarusians over the age of 50 from any region of Belarus can submit an application.

— A successful entrepreneur is someone who never stops learning, reminded Olga Rusinovich, Director of the Department of Entrepreneurship at the Ministry of Economy of Belarus. — Last year, 500 silver-age entrepreneurs from across Belarus completed training as part of our joint initiative with UNDP. Today we are continuing our work in this direction, helping people with a business mindset master digital tools so they can convert their rich life and professional experience into a sustainable and successful business.

The program includes a series of online sessions on using digital tools for business development. Practicing entrepreneurs and industry experts will talk about promoting goods and services online, working with social media, using CRM systems, financial planning, and other tools for effective business operations.

A separate module of the program will be dedicated to artificial intelligence. Participants will get acquainted with services that help analyze information, find new ideas, improve communication with customers, and automate routine tasks.

Entrepreneurs will also be able to receive personal mentor support from experts. From September through November, mentors will assist 10 participants selected based on the results of the submitted applications in selecting and implementing digital solutions tailored to the specifics of each business.

Program activities will begin on August 26. An application can be submitted via the link posted on the website of the Ministry of Economy of Belarus.
