
A delegation from Brest Region has set off on a visit to Vietnam. This was announced by the press service of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.
The delegation of official and business circles of the southwestern region was headed by Mikhail Batcenko, Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee. "The purpose of the trip is to deepen bilateral relations, expand trade and economic ties, and develop production cooperation between enterprises of Brest Region and Vietnamese partners. The program includes a series of business meetings and negotiations," the press service said.
The visit to Lao Cai Province, which will last until September 18, is provided for in the cooperation program between the Brest Regional Executive Committee and the People's Committee of Lao Cai Province for 2026-2028, signed this April. The Brest Region delegation includes representatives of the regional executive committee, the administration of the Brest Free Economic Zone, Brest State Polytechnic College, the Brest Regional Base "Bakaleya", IOOO "Vastega", ChPTUP "Sifania-Ekotekhnika", and LLC "Agropishcheprom". Meetings and negotiations with Lao Cai leadership are planned, as well as visits to a number of industrial and social facilities, including educational institutions.
Brest Region and Lao Cai Province are linked by sister-city relations. The Belarusian side expects that the current visit will give new impetus to the implementation of joint projects with Asian partners.
