
A counter-terrorism forum will take place in Minsk on October 7-8, according to BELTA.
It is expected that delegations from 28 countries, 17 CIS and SCO bodies, and ten international organizations will participate.
The program of the Counter-Terrorism Forum includes the IV Conference of the CIS on Countering Terrorism and Extremism and the XXII International Scientific and Practical Conference of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure. Joint anti-terrorism exercises of the competent authorities of the CIS countries and an anti-terrorism exercise of the competent authorities of the SCO member states are also planned.
The conference agenda includes a wide range of issues, including the impact of the situation in various regions of the world on the formation of terrorist and extremist threats. Participants will share their national experience in countering modern security challenges. The delegates will also consider relevant aspects of international counter-terrorism cooperation and the main areas for improving the legal, organizational, and practical foundations of interaction.
Specialized sessions of the conference will be devoted to scientific and educational support for activities in the field of counter-terrorism and extremism, as well as the issue of countering the financing of such activities and information countermeasures.
The program of the second day includes the conduct of the force phase of the final stages of the CIS and SCO anti-terrorism exercises "Eurasia-Antiterror - 2026". It will be held in a combined format with the participation of an inter-state special purpose forces composition.
