The Zhlobin Metallurgical College celebrated its 30th anniversary. The ceremonial event, held to mark this significant date, took place at the Metallurgists' Palace of Culture.

Those who have supported the college for many years joined to share the celebration with the faculty and students: district authorities, the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant, employer partners, union leaders, representatives of the Gomel Regional Institute for Educational Development, and many others. The atmosphere in the hall was truly warm: there were not only official congratulations but also sincere words of gratitude to those who daily pour their hearts into training future professionals.

Special attention was given to the unique link between the college and production. The head of the Zhlobin district, Sergey Yarets, while congratulating the staff, emphasized that metallurgy is not only a special industry but also a way of life.

– It is pleasing that the young people consciously choose this courageous profession. And the fact that for 30 years the college has been nurturing highly qualified personnel, who skillfully manage complex processes at the enterprise, speaks to the strong bond between production and education, – noted Sergey Borisovich.

The words of the director of the educational institution, Vyacheslav Lipatkin, filled with pride for the graduates and the high professional skill of his teaching staff, emphasized that over the years the college has become part of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant, a forge of its personnel, without whom the development of domestic metallurgy cannot be imagined. Vyacheslav Sergeyevich thanked the leadership of BMZ and all plant workers who provide assistance to college graduates during their adaptation to their first workplaces, in resolving housing issues.

The general director of JSC “BMZ – the management company of the ‘Belarusian Metallurgical Company’” holding, Alexander Sakovich, expressed words of gratitude to the teachers and students of the educational institution for their daily contribution to the development of the metallurgical industry. After reading the congratulatory address of the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, Andrey Kuznetsov, Alexander Viktorovich presented Vyacheslav Lipatkin with a Ministry of Industry Appreciation. The college director is thus recognized for his long‑term conscientious work, high professionalism, and personal contribution to organizing the training of highly qualified personnel for the industrial complex of the Republic of Belarus.

During the ceremonial event, deserving awards were presented to teachers and other college staff, labor veterans, and students. Among them were recipients of honorary certificates from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the main Department of Education of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, the regional organization of the Belarusian Professional Union of Education and Science Workers, honorary certificates and thanks from the Zhlyobin District Executive Committee and the District Council of Deputies, and other awards.

Sincere words of congratulations, expressions of gratitude, welcoming speeches, commemorative gifts, and creative performances made the evening bright and unforgettable.
