80 Years on Steel Tracks: Railway Workers Honored in Mogilev

In Mogilev, a solemn event was held dedicated to a significant date — the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Mogilev Division of Belarusian Railway.

In honor of the anniversary, a solemn gathering and a festive concert took place, bringing together industry veterans, current employees, division management, and honored guests. The main theme of the evening was recognizing the merits of those who, for decades, have ensured the uninterrupted operation of the region’s “steel tracks.”

On behalf of the city authorities, railway workers were congratulated by Igor Bushlekhov, First Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev City Executive Committee. He thanked the veterans and industry workers, noting their enormous contribution to the development of the city and the country.

— “Behind every kilometer of laid track and every unit of rolling stock lies the labor of hundreds of people, for whom the railway has become not just a job, but a true calling and a life’s work,” — noted Igor Bushlekhov.

Warm words were also joined by Oleg Bolbas, First Deputy Head of RUP “Mogilev Division of Belarusian Railway,” who expressed sincere gratitude to the team for their dedication to the cause.

— “Over 80 years of its existence, the Mogilev Division has traveled an impressive path. The agency’s history began with the restoration of infrastructure destroyed during the Great Patriotic War. Today, it is a modern high-tech complex,” — emphasized Oleg Bolbas.

From the stage, words of gratitude were heard for those who daily ensure passenger safety, reliability of freight transport, and punctual train movements.

The culmination of the solemn gathering was the presentation of deserved awards and thanks to the enterprise’s best workers. The evening continued with a festive concert prepared by creative groups, which gave the honorees and guests bright emotions and an excellent mood.
