"— This year, all crops without exception delighted us with their harvest. Weather conditions were favorable, there were no spring return frosts, all winter crops survived the winter well, and the temperature was favorable for the vegetation of all crops. We obtained a total grain yield slightly above last year's level — 23.8 thousand tons. This is a good result overall. For which we received an award — second place among agricultural enterprises in the annual regional competition.

We have already learned to work precisely, aiming for the planned result. In modern agriculture, there is no other way. The share of crop farming in the farm's overall economy is 25 percent, while the main potential lies in animal husbandry. At 'Alexandriyskiy' we have a huge livestock population — 26.5 thousand heads of swine, 815 thousand heads of poultry, and over 14 thousand heads of cattle. Feeding the animals is a major task and a great responsibility. Our agronomic service handles this excellently. Of course, to assist the agronomists, we have our rich Alexandrian lands with a fertility score of 37.5. But without high professionalism of agronomists, farmers, mechanizers, and combine operators, even the most generous lands would not reward us with such a harvest.

We grow grain on our fields exclusively for our own production; currently we cultivate only winter grain crops: rapeseed, wheat, barley, and triticale

Of course, the main task of our crop farming sector is to form a one-and-a-half-year supply of feed for livestock. To date, we have already stockpiled more than 120 tons of hay, 53.7 tons of haylage, 7.2 thousand tons of grain haylage, and almost 45 thousand tons of silage. To create a full feed base, we need 50 thousand tons of grain, half of which is provided by our own farmland. Of course, we traditionally purchase part of the grain.
