More than a century has been preparing valuable frames! The Belarusian State Medical University marks its 105th anniversary.

The university's history begins in 1921, when the medical faculty of BGU was opened. Over this time it has become an independent leading center for medical education, scientific research, and clinical practice. Here generations of doctors, scientists, and healthcare organizers have grown up. Currently, the country's oldest university consists of 9 faculties, 96 departments, and 3 institutes. Students from 65 countries come for quality education.

Sergei Rubnikovich, rector of the Belarusian State Medical University: "The foreign language competition is approaching the competition for our domestic students. How are we different? Of course, we differ in the practical orientation of our students' training. We have preserved the best traditions of our medical education. This year, the number of students from the Russian Federation has grown more than twice, and from African countries almost twice as well."

In a solemn atmosphere, the best teachers and staff were congratulated and awarded. For it is precisely thanks to their work that professionals are born. Over 105 years, the medical university in Minsk has trained nearly 60,000 specialists. Every third doctor in our country is a graduate of this university.
