Changes have been made to the organization of traffic on the MKAD — they concern freight transport. This is reported by SB.by.

This measure has been taken to improve traffic safety and prevent potential road accidents involving freight vehicles.

Specifically, a ban has been introduced on the movement of freight vehicles with a technically permissible total mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes on the second and third lanes of the outer ring of the MKAD, on the sections from Lieutenant Kizhavatova Street to Visloyatskaya Street and from Dawginauskaya Tract to Victory Prospect.

On the sections of the MKAD adjacent to these segments, road signs 3.4 "Movement of freight vehicles prohibited" have been installed in the road network. Additionally, markings in the form of the said sign have been applied on the second and third lanes of the MKAD.

The State Automobile Inspectorate (DAI) asks road users to take these changes into account when choosing their routes.
