Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has ordered the government to boost fish production, especially rainbow trout. He cited the success of the Paluzh fish farm in the Krasnopolsky district of Mogilev region and called for building a dozen new fish complexes nationwide. The aim is to raise the share of domestic fish production and reduce imports. The plan involves attracting investment and modernizing existing facilities. It is expected that trout production in Belarus will rise significantly in the coming years.
