During a working group meeting on interregional cooperation held on August 28 as part of the Vitebsk Region Days in Pskov, officials announced plans to launch direct trains from Velikiye Luki to Polotsk and Vitebsk. The new routes are expected to begin operations in 2027, improving connectivity between the regions and supporting economic development. The project aims to enhance passenger convenience and stimulate regional tourism.
